Tidepooling day one!

On the first day of tide-pooling, we learned that in order for anemones to avoid desiccation, they will clamp up when the tide runs low.

We also saw lots of other animals. My favorite was the arrow crab! We thought maybe it was a spider crab at first, but then Dr. C identified it as an arrow crab because of the arrow on its head.
